Finding us, and what to expect
We are at 64–66 Granby Street, a short walk from the Clock Tower, five minutes from Leicester Railway Station and opposite the Grand Hotel. Look for the glass frontage and Cask 23 branding.
Reservations are taken by telephone or WhatsApp on 0116 285 6100. Online booking is not connected yet.

Access and getting here
- Small steps at the Granby Street entrance; entry is by doorbell and staff assisted.
- Ground-floor accessible WC.
- Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the store except inside the humidor.
- Five minutes on foot from Leicester Railway Station, a short walk from the Clock Tower and opposite the Grand Hotel.
- Dover Street car park is around two minutes on foot and the Highcross multi-storey around ten, with side-street pay-and-display nearby. There is no on-street parking directly outside.

Nothing unusual, but it saves a conversation at the door.
Over 18s only
We operate Challenge 25 throughout, including the humidor and the basement lounge. Please bring photographic ID if you look under 25.
Measures and pace
Whisky is served by the dram. Smaller pours may be available where appropriate but cannot be guaranteed. Water and spittoons are always on hand, and soft drinks are available to purchase.
Children and dogs
Under 18s may pass through the shop with an adult but not sit in the sampling lounge. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the store, except inside the humidor.
The humidor
Humidor access is staff assisted, so please ask a member of the team to accompany you rather than opening the cabinets yourself. The humidor is not a smoking room.

Before you come
Do I need to book a table?
Not for one or two people during the day — walk in and take whatever is free. Thursday to Saturday after 18:00 is by advance booking, Sundays are private bookings by prior arrangement, and any group of five or more is worth reserving.
Can I buy a bottle of anything I taste?
Most whiskies available by the dram can also be bought by the bottle, though some limited editions are poured by the dram only. Bottles are purchased in store or through cask23.co.uk, which remains our only online shop and checkout.
Is there anything for someone who does not drink whisky?
Yes. We are a specialist retailer of wine and premium spirits as well as whisky, and soft drinks are available to purchase. Nobody in a group has to drink whisky to enjoy the visit.
Can I smoke a cigar indoors?
Cigars are enjoyed in the basement lounge. The humidor itself is not a smoking room, and access to it is staff assisted.
Do you cater for allergies?
Tell us in advance for tastings and events and we will work around it. Allergen information for anything served is available on request.
