Ross & Squibb Distillery

Ross & Squibb's production identity is built around high-volume continuous distillation combined with unusually deep expertise in high-rye mash bills. Limestone-filtered aquifer water, large fermentation capacity and multiple established whiskey recipes allow the site to produce spirit ranging from bourbon to intensely rye-led distillate. Its role as both a brand distillery and a major contract producer means the same physical hardware underpins many labels that do not carry the Ross & Squibb name.

Ross & Squibb in Lawrenceburg is one of the most important source distilleries in American whiskey, particularly for rye. The facility is the modern identity of the historic Lawrenceburg plant long known to the trade as MGP, and its whiskey appears under both house brands and third-party labels. For Cask 23, that distinction matters: a bottle may say Rebel or another brand on the front while the actual liquid provenance points back to this Indiana production asset.
