Glenglassaugh Distillery

Mineral-rich spring water and a mixed wood/stainless fermentation setup support a ripe, fruity fermentation profile before distillation through a single pair of boil-ball stills. Glenglassaugh sits almost on the edge of Sandend Bay, and its production is unusually easy to read in the glass: ripe fruit from fermentation and distillation, then a distinct coastal maturation environment. A single pair of boil-ball stills gives the distillery a relatively focused spirit profile, while separate peated runs create a second, smokier register without changing the identity of the core whisky.
